You have to want help to get help, when you go to places like this, most come in with family issues, then want to blame three rivers for them being there, they are in crisis and when they get there. Family member put papers on them when they are a danger to themselves or others, then you want to blame three rivers for you being there or stop taking your meds when they get discharged.

I was at this place, forcefully. MY first thought was I'm leaving home, no one will accept me for what I did, or they will think I'm crazy. I was in the adolescent part of this facility. When I got there the other kids greeted me with smiles. They expressed themself with no shame, and explained why they were there. I grew extremely close to those kids. Yes, the staff was harsh sometimes on not to touch other kids, or they would separated us. I hated every bit of there rules, but I still followed them. Although I will not lie I broke some of them. The food was great way better than hospital food. It's been a month since I got discharged, and I miss it. It felt like another home to me, and I wish I can go back with those same kids that were there. All I hope is that they are okay, and if they see this I miss you guys. You were like a family I wished for. In general I would recommend this place.

Going to Three Rivers was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The staff was knowledgeable and compassionate. From the time I checked in to the time I was discharged, I felt like I was in good hands. The social work groups that I participated in daily really helped me get my life and focus back on track. The staff is focused on helping you and doing what's best (even if that can be challenging to accept). In addition to social work groups, there was also activity therapy. I did a lot of great art therapy while I was there (and brought it home with me). There were opportunities everyday to go outside (weather providing) and sit in the courtyard. It was nice to be around other people who were going through similar situations as me. The only thing that I can think could be improved upon would be the facilities. It was clean, but some of the seating and such could likely be updated. I also think the gym could be improved upon. I was on the adult side of the facility and therefore can't speak to the conditions of the adolescent and senior areas. They have alternative food options for people with dietary needs, you just have to establish that when you're doing your sign in process. Also be prepared to be really honest with them and the struggles you are facing. Overall, I would recommend this facility to anyone struggling with their mental health.

My darling teen-aged daughter was hospitalized here. I didn't understand a lot of the rules, as this was my first encounter with a hospital of this sort. At first I was on edge thinking they've taken her and just locked her up and didn't even call me until the following afternoon. After looking at the reviews online, I dreaded and expected the WORST. However, the first visitation day came and my opinions drastically changed. After going through the security measure (signing in, leaving my cell phone in the car and having to ring the door bell), I talked to the other parents in the waiting room. They didn't like the situation that brought them there but they seemed at ease and trusting of the place. I saw my daughter, she looked great. Her eyes were clear, her color was warm, she was smiling and knew all the other kids there by name. I asked her every question I could think of. She said she wished they weren't so strict but she understood why they were. She didn't like the food but she liked being housed with kids like her going through the same things she was. She said the place gave her structure and helped through group, to talk about her issues. She actually told me she loved it there. On her last day, she gave everyone hugs (they're not really allowed hugs but she is a very loving teen) and she was sad to be leaving them. Afterwards, she was like a whole new kid. She didn't take anything for granted, always smiling. They put her on wellbutrin and it seems to really help. Our case worker was Nikki. She never answered her phone but she would get my messages most of the time in a timely manner. As far as I could see there was nothing indicating anything foul going on. The place was clean, well organized, well supervised, and really friendly nurses at the desk who answered any question or concern I had without hesitation. Overall, the adolescent ward is a good place. My daughter felt safe and well cared for. She said she wouldn't have a problem going back again if she needed to. I don't see why there are so many negative reviews but please, don't worry. See your kid before you drag yourself through sleepless nights. I've never let my daughter out of my sight but after 2 visits, I felt assured that she was safe and in a place she trusted.

They care a lot about your recovery and making sure you can return to a healthy quality of life. The food is a little greasy, but it's not bad--southern cooking. I've had a really good experience here, but the reviews scared me. Don't be afraid to come here this place has really done wonders for me.

Most of the staff is very friendly, I wasn't a patient there but I visited someone several times who was a patient there. He said the place was ok, there are a lot worse out there, I believe that 100%. Visiting hours suck, only 3 days which are Thursday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Hard to call there and talk to a patient, they have very strict hours for incoming calls, best way to talk to patient is to wait on them to call you.

I've been to several facilities in the past three years. & this one was by far the best. I attended this facility for almost three months. the doctors and nurses treated my peers and myself like human beings. if we were respectful they respected us. I mean that's how it works. you acted out, you got what was mandatory for them to do. the groups we had helped a lot of the people around me & personally helped me a lot as well. I felt very safe being in the facility. the food options were great and fit to everybody. they had vegan and vegetarian meals, and various amounts of food. you could eat as much as you want in the 30 minute time period you had, and sometimes the nurses were nice enough to let us eat for an extra few minutes. most of them were very understanding and caring for all of the patients. the unit I was in was fairly clean & the rules were standard, nothing to crazy. speaking for myself I felt very comfortable being there. the doctor I had was very considerate of how I felt and asked a lot of questions so he could diagnose me correctly. overall this place was great! & tbh as crazy as it sounds I didn't want to leave as soon as I did because of how much they helped me in the time period I was there.
